Ata earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Florida. Before joining Luminosity, he worked as a machine learning engineer at an ed-tech startup, developing a full-stack platform to enhance student engagement, and contributed to neuroscience research using deep learning. He also supported a data science lab focused on making AI and programming concepts accessible to middle and high school students across Florida. A native of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, with a decade living in Bolivia, Ata is a polyglot who speaks Spanish, Russian, French, and Dutch.
