Nicholas Burtch is a highly accomplished Data Scientist with over a decade of experience designing and deploying machine learning solutions across diverse domains, including natural language processing, generative AI, and advanced analytics. His work spans the full lifecycle of data science initiatives—from integrating and preparing complex datasets to building predictive models and authoring tools that support strategic decision-making. He is also the co-author of Machine Learning and Generative AI for Marketing, a recently published book that explores the use of modern AI in data-driven business applications.

Nick’s background combines technical depth and leadership experience. He has mentored undergraduate and doctoral researchers, guided cross-functional teams, and contributed thought leadership in both academic and applied settings. While serving as a Harry S. Truman Fellow in National Security Science and Engineering, he led a multidisciplinary research project as Principal Investigator, producing multiple peer-reviewed publications, a patent, and invited presentations.

Nick holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech, as well as a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
